Hi... I'm back and it's a new adventure for me

Hi everyone... I'm Lin Fields in Watertown NY. I was very active here quite awhile ago, but then, as we all do, I got busy and stopped visiting. I had lapband surgery in 2009 (Sept. 23 to be exact) but sadly enough I am one of those 'failures' you hear about. Since that time I have only lost (up and down) 10 pounds.

I've been on the program, felt the restrictions, gotten sick more than one person should, and had a surgeon *****fuses to do a RNY because I am over 60 and he hasn't acheived his "circle of excellence' status.

So, I am now starting the path to having the RNY with Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. I'm 62, and they don't have a problem with it at all. I'm having a persantine stress test this week, and then hopefully I'll be able to get scheduled for the surgery by the end of the year.

Just wanted to say hi from Northern NY and hope you are all well and getting thinner as we speak!

Good luck and DON"T GIVE UP.  If for some reason this second attempt doesn't work out and you are willing to come to Long Island, I will be happy to give you several recommendations!

 Hi Lin! I'm an AMC patient as well! Dr. Hill did my surgery in Nov 2010, I had the DS done, different surgery, but still I can say that AMC Bariatric Program is great!
