I just have to vent a little here...how long does it take to get approval for the surgery? I have empire bc/bs been told they are the best in approval time and I am waiting . I believe they got all my paperwork before the New Year and I am waiting. Maybe I am just being impatient...I don't know just had to get it out!

**I just called my insurance company and they haven't received any paper work. I feel as if they have forgotten about me...I will keep on their butts til I get results!!

Ask the doctor's office to check when they sent it and have them call the insurance company.  Almost seems the Doc's office dropped the ball....

Does seem like the doctor office messed up on that one. I have Empire and yes, they are generally very quick with approvals as long as they get everything at once. If something is missing it will hold up approval. You may also want to check to see what your Empire plan requires so you can make sure it is all done and the right stuff goes to them. Nothing is worse that thinking you have all of your hoops jumped only to find out that your program does something different from what your insurance requires.

Good luck.

I can totally understand your frustration, but PLEASE try to utilize this extra time to incorporate good habits and begin or continue a high protein diet and excise, even if its minimal.

I wish you luck!

Hang in there, good things come to people who wait.
