Syracuse area?
hello syr: what is it that you want to know about? I had my surgery 2 years ago at Upstate. I had the bariatric center there and Dr. Cunningham performed my surgery (Open RNY) He is not there any longer and I now doctor with Dr. Simon who I like very much. (I also loved Dr. Cunningham and miss him greatly) My stay was just 2 1/2 days long. I was treated well and luckily had no complications. I am followed up for the first year I believe it was 3 mo, 6 mo. 9 mo. and then 1 year and then 3-6 mo. thereafter. I have lost just under 200#. Currently, I am having some issues (my own fault) with sweets but I am attempting to deal with those. Otherwise I try & follow the 3 meals a day and snacks if any of skim milk in between. NIbbling here and there can be challenging for me but if you realize you are doing it you can correct it. I also try and get all my water in daily. It can be hard especially at first but it is something I feel you need to keep up with. If you have other questions feel free to pm me. Good luck with your surgery - keep us posted on it. Take care Mary
