Has anyone had consulation/surgery with Dr. Pomp. I am anxious and very nervous. Tommorrow I will be going to meet with him for initial consultation. I know its just a consult but I am terrifed and the fear of getting rejected.. I don't know why but that is how I feel. Anyone who has meet with him please feel free to respond. Or anyone else for that matter. I am on pins and needles. I never do well in Dr's Office!

Thanks I will let you know tommorrow. Earlier today his assistant called me and we went through some standard questions and she was so nice. I think she knew I was really scared. She didnt rush me or anything of that sort. I appreciate her patience. Now I feel more at ease.

Hi Flyeena:
By now, you have obviously met with Dr. Pomp, but I just wanted to chime in here, for everyone else to read... Dr. Pomp is the best of the BEST.

My consultation with him was very postive and encouraging, and his staff is great. Every one was nicer than the last.  I came away ready to take action, and full of confidence.

I also just love his nutrituionist, Liz Goldenberg. She's a doll, very funny and should have her own TV show I think.

In addition to being a fine surgeon, Dr. Pomp was concerned enough with my case that he personally called up my insurance company and talked to the head guy there... unheard of!

Before consutling with him, I consulted with Dr. Fielding at NYU, and also Dr. Watkins, in Ohio (by phone).  They were both good, but Dr. Pomp is the go-to guy, in my book.

Good luck to you, and maybe I'll see you at a support group.
