The Dr finally called back
i was so happy to hear from the surgeons office, just to hear they didnt have all my blood results. of course my primary just didnt fax it over. so i got on my primarys behind and got the paperwork to the surgeon. so they called me right back and i have an appointment for next week. i was so excited, i didnt bother asking who i was meeting with lol....wondering what to expect for the first meeting. nervous to be honest. the journey is finally coming to a conclusion, or is it lol
Your journey is not over!!! This is just the beginning. And what a ride it is!!!
I do not know what your first visit will be like as all programs do things a little different.
For my first visit, I was lucky enough to meet my surgeon. Some offices you see a NP or PA first and maybe don't see the surgeon til you are scheduled for surgery. He did a complete medical history and then spent a huge amount of time explaining my options. He also told me why he thought gastric bypass would work best for me. He was not opinionated about any particular surgery and answered all my questions in detail and with patience. I would suggest that if you have any questions - write them down. In your excitement and apprehension you may forget what you want to know. Bringing a list of questions to the appointment is not silly, it is almost expected.
Good luck. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.
