finally gave in a called Dr

i have been waiting around, not hearing anything from anyone so i finally decided to call the Dr's office to find out where in the process i am.   of course i got an answering machine.  its very frustrating not knowing what is going on.
here i spend time and money jumping through hoops, seeing a shrink, a nutrionist, blood work, normal dr...etc.  
i really hope that just call and update me. 

does anyone have an idea after you get approved how long it normally takes to get the surgery?

I remember the hoop jumping. I had the surgeon's approval before I even started jumping. I did my hoops, the surgery was scheduled and then they submitted to insurance for approval. Strange but it is how my group does it. I got insurance approval in less than 24 hours. Talk about shocked. I thought I was going to have to wait a week or more. But that is Empire Blue. 

Keep pestering them. 

well, i have not even met the doctor yet...i had to do all the hoop jumping first just to meet with them. i assume they dont want to waste their time, so if you do everything first they know you are serious.  i am thinking of calling my ins company if i dont hear from anyone by the end of the week
