You have the same surgeon as I do. I like him alot!

I am close to you. South Glens Falls. Off Exit 17. I know there are folks around here who have had surgery but not too many on the boards.

I have been trying to get hte NY forum to be a little more active. It is picking up some. I try to log on everyday.

I did not read your profile but what kind of WLS did you have and tell me how it is going.

Hi Lisa,
I'll try and help you shake things up a bit around here :)
I do really like Dr. P. I had RNY with him July 09. Things are a bit mixed. The weight loss has gone very well, 170lbs since starting medifast feb 09, Dr P is thrilled. Have had some issues with an ulcer and then the results of not eating because of it. Starting to get on my feet again and hopefully more active soon here :)
How have you been doing with yours?

So where did you have your surgery? We are practically neighbors, you don't meet other folks from Washington County too often!

I had mine at Albany Medical Center. You are the only other person from Washington County that I have seen post here. There are a couple of other close locals tho.

I am from the Albany Area, Colonie actually, so about 40 minutes south of Saratoga. I have not had weight loss surgery yet, I am still in the "thinking about it" stage. Welcome to the NY Board !

Hi Christine!
I was in the thinking about it stage for like 8yrs (although most of that was thinking about it, without insurance..) If there's any questions you have or want to see what it's like for real life, just ask :)
Knowing people who have had it that you can really ask questions of makes a big difference!
