What do you do for your Excercise?
So how do you get your exercise in?
Today I did 15 minutes on the elliptical, 15 minutes on the treadmill and about 20 minutes lifting weights.
Normally I do 20 minutes on the Elliptical. When I got to the 15 minute mark I felt like running so I headed over to the treadmill.
Funny thing happened (at least I could laugh at it). But as I started running I could feel the excess flab slapping on my back and butt. I had to slow to a brisk walk as it started to hurt.
Anyone have any ideas as how to run without beating yourself up?

As for the issue of the loose skin - perhaps one of those body slimmers for men. I saw them mentioned on one of the other boards a long time ago. I think if you google "male body shaper" you'll find some. If they are anything like the female ones, they will keep you from slapping yourself silly!
Have a great day - Deb

UnderArmour compression gear is AWESOME! Helps keep stuff in place and not jiggling/bouncing/flapping all over....
Also, walmart has starter-brand compression shirts that fit the bill as well...cheaper in cost...
I like the underarmour short better than the starter ones....seems to fit the "parts" better! LOL
Also, these help you look better in dress shirts/suits...if you have to wear them....
I walk and bike, BTW....

Guess us ladies are lucky as we can get great sports bras to help with the jiggle factor - I had to buy a new one today as I was entertaining the guys more than I wanted to on the weekend when I played squash - and it wasn't my game they were watching !
Exercise wise I'm doing the following :
30 mins Eliptical - hills or 30 mins C25k programme on the treadmill then 20-30 mins machines and weights
Couple of games of squash per week
Couple of Pilates Reformer classes per week
1 or 2 RPM (Spinning) classes per week
I also want to do Body Combat as soon as my schedule will allow it.
Keep up the good work.

Hi - I'm a Brit living in Dubai.
MikeyMike is one of my friends on here as we had surgery in the same month so are in the same March Surgery group - hence I've made it to the NY board - I'm virtually 'travelling' around the US as I respond to mails. I find this site great, more help to me than the British Board as less people seem to have had VSG in the UK.
Body Combat is a bit similar to Tae Bo - but it's all set to music tracks - it's a 1 hour group class, where you do some warm ups then boxing/kick boxing type routines to dance music - building up to a few energetic tracks in the middle and then slowing down to some abs work and Tae Chi moves at the end - I LOVE IT. It's hard work, but goes quickly and is fun.
Great to hear from you.
Debbie
