Anyone from Suffolk/Nassau County, LI, NY??
Just curious if there is anyone from Long Island that would like to do WLS friendly activities with me. I mean such things as going out to lunch for a healthy lunch, walking boardwalks, etc. I need to get back on track with this and would love to do it with a friend or at least someone else who would like some company while being healthy and staying on the losing/maintining side! Male, female, young, old, fat, skinny...I don't care. And, the more the merrier! Let me know!

Hello Diane from NY!
I have tried to get the NY boards up and rolling before. Tough crowd. lol
I know there are several of us from the state but I find myself just going back to the main board too.
Let's see if we can get some action over there again
Too bad I wasen't closer to ya! I love to eat too! (The exercising...not so much)
See ya over on the NY forum. It's worth a shot!
Nice to meet ya too!

Hello again,
Just posted this on the main forum too since I wasen't sure where you would be hanging out.
I noticed you had RNY in 2005. How have you been doing as far as maintance or gain/loss??
Since I am 18months out I worry about the long term. I do weigh myself pretty regularly but am finding myself being able to eat more "junk" and wanting more "junk". I just need to be more aware I guess. I also have started to indulge in an occasional diet pepsi which I went 18months w/o. It is painful and does not tastes as good as I recall but I think it is the carbonation that I crave sometimes.
So it was nice chatting,
Lisa

There is a gorup called LIPO (Long Island Post Ops)
They have acitvities they do monthly - some are well attended, other not so much....
I would look them up on on the group boards - they are always welcoming new people. And I think you might be able to find an exercise partner....maybe even my Fiancee!!!!

Hi Diane.
My name is Maryellen. I am the Founder/Leader of LIPO (Long Island Post Ops). We meet once monthly (the 3rd Tuesday of every month) at the Sayville Public LIbrary from 6:30-9:00pm. Our next meeting is next week, 8/17. Please come!
Additionally, we plan at least one monthly optional physcial activity. We have done things like, walk various boardwalks, ice skate, gone bowling, laybrynth walks, zumb class, water aerobics, gone dancing and much more.
Please feel free to private message me should you need any additional information.
