Dr. Miguel Silva, lapband and Medicaid approval process

So i want to have the lapband, my pcp gave me the greenlight. I just have alot of questions on the process to get aproved and get a date for the lapband. I am having a consultation with Miguel Silva the surgeon on July 8th.. I just got medicaid and affinity. Do i have to do the 6month diet before the surgery?? Do i have to do the pysch test and all?? Whats the approval process?? Im trying to stay optimistic but i really am anxious for July to come already. Any advice, comments are appreciated!! thank you!!

 Your best bet to find out what the requirements and how the approval process works is to contact Medicaid and Affinity. You really need to know what they cover as well. It is possible they do not cover this surgery. And if they do, there may be minimum requirements for BMI, etc. Good Luck!
