Dr. Holover anyone?
Hi, I'm looking into different surgeons for my husband. I had RNY 5 1/2 yrs ago with Dr. Adaniel who unfortunately is retiring at the end of the month. Dr. Holover in New Hyde Park accepts our ins. but I don't too many of his patients. If anyone had him and would like to share their opinions on him with me I'd greatly appreciate it.

My experience...
I am using Dr. Garber who works with Dr. Holover. Dr. Holover did my endoscope and I found him to be very nice. In doing my research it seems he is right up there with Dr. Garber. I did not see anything negative about him. My brother used Dr. Garber based on my findings and is very happy and sucessful. I am in Port Jeff and spent over 1 year looking for a practice I felt comfortable with and feel it is worth the travel time to their office. The staff so far seems great. I was scheduled for surgery 6/14/10 but it was cancelled due to equipment upgrades in the OR at Mercy Hospital. So I waiting on the edge of my seat for a new date. Hope this was helpful. Good Luck.

Hi Eileen.. I want to wish you good luck on your upcoming surgery. I know some Dr. Garber patients and I've only heard good things. I never heard about any Holover patients. I'm glad everything is going well with you and Dr.Garber. But I really need some feedback from Post-Op patients of Dr. Holover.

I had Dr Garber for the gastric bypass in March 2009 and Dr Holover for the endoscopy for my ulcer in 11.09 and then last week he did my emergency hernia operation with Dr Garber at Mercy Med. Ctr. I love them both. They respond immediately to any concerns both pre-op and post op. Contact me for more info if you'd like it. I would def recommend them.
