No DS with Fidelis :(

I am really interested in having the DS surgery, but the two Doctors that I know do DS in NY don't take Fidelis healthcare.  Since Fidelis seems to be only a certain part of NY (Dutchess/Orange) type of insurance, I know I won't find anyone in NJ/CT.  This really stinks!! I don't know what to do..

Any ideas?

I know Fidelis is in Rockland as well, you might check to see if it is in Westchester also.  I don't think anyone in Rockland does the DS but you might find someone in Westchester.

Thank you so much!! Yes, I found that the group in Weschester medical does take fidelis, but they don't do DS.. I have checked in Rockland and Westchester.. There is a group in Middletown that is waiting for their credentialing through fidelis, but they don't do DS either..

I dont' know if he takes Fidelis but there is a Frank Sparks in Yonkers.  check out DSFacts.com - they have a list of surgeons - he is the only one in Westchester, the rest are in NYC.  I don't know if anyone in NYC participates.

Dr. Roslin also has a Mount Kisco practice, have you checked that out? He operates out of Northern Westchester Hospital.

Unfortunately their insurance page is blank so I am guessing the site is still under construction. I believe, however that if it is one of the hospitals your insruance contracts with and assuming you are approved for the DS by your insurance it should be covered.

I have Fidelis too (it's a state wide program) and I live in Warren County. I am going to have the DS done (hopefully in October) and I found my doctors - Dr. Hill & Dr. Hixson in Saranac Lake. I know they are a long drive.... but if that is what your heart is set on for surgery then it would really be worth the drive for you. Plus, it's beautiful country.
