1ST Thank you to everyone on obesityhelp.com for their help finding a new PCP and any Questions I had.

May of 2008 I changed PCP my old doctor was not interested in hearing any questions about Gastric Bypass as he is 5`2" and about 95 pounds and Asian just keep telling me not to eat after 6pm and I can lose weight so I change Doctors. my new PCP recommended Gastric in June 08 made an appt with synergy bariatric after I saw Ron Lelito and Maria R. Weber I met  Joseph A. Caruana He was a very good dr and had plains to have it done in late 2008 and then found my thyroid was off so they had to wait until it was normal. Jan 09 my insurance changed from anthem bcbs to Aetna and guess what synergy does not take Aetna so I had to find a new DR(it was the best thing that could have happened) I found DR DiBenedetto meet him July 09 He was great answers every question I had but I had to do a 6 month diet (Aetna) sand had to drive to Rochester an hour and 20 mins away but I wanted it so 4/26/10 I have lap Roux-en-y and everything went great I was sore for 4 days but now I have little or no pain (a little gas pain) but great other then that I thought I would be worse so ITS DONE

Aetna - Great to deal with just do want they want 6 month diet. loss 5%

DR DiBenedetto  - I can’t see another doctor being as good or being there as much as he was everyday 2 or 3 times Just do what he tells you to do  no joke he doesn’t play with your health and his team was great to any problems they were right there.

Rochester General - I have heard of strong  in Rochester and didn’t want to go to general boy was I stupid That Hospital was great the people were super supportive and all around awesome form the nurses to the techs and the people changing the sheets.

I had an awesome experience for being scared and nervous

Congrats on your surgery!  Sounds like you had a great experience and your doctors were supportive.  I hear you on the PCP's that don't want to hear "gastric bypass" - I had a female one two years ago and she was 5'8" ish - 120lbs - model material.  She just said "you need to exercise more".  I dropped her rather quickly :)

I wish you continued success, you are off to an awesome start!!
