looking for a new surgeon

Many of you that know me and know my story, know that I have not had a surgeon for follow up car since my 2nd month. My surgeon moved to Florida. because of billing and financial situations I didnt and couldnt use the surgeon my dr sent my file to (Dr. Gabriel) I have Aetna PPO and I know most surgeons do not take insurance for the surgery but am hoping to find one that does take insurance for follow up care. Or at least charges a minimal amount because I make peanuts at my job and am still trying to pay off my hospital bill from my RNY. Next week I hit my 11 month and would like to find someone that would see me by my year surgiversary. I have been under my PCPs care monthly for the past 18 months, getting bloodwork every 3 months, so I have been followed, I just want to see someone for an update....any ideas or help? thanks oh and I live in central/western suffolk county on LOng Island.

TRY CALLING DR. CUSSATTI.  The office number is 422-0909.  Hopefully he will accept your insurance.

Hi Marcia, I did contact his office, they emailed me back a few days ago...they will take me, I would need to have a barium swallow...but they do not take make insurance...so I will keep looking....Thank You Marcia....xoxox

Dr. Cusati does not accept Aetna anymore.  :(  Try Dr. Brathwaite (Patchogue ot Mineola) He took it at the time of my surgery.  Also, Dr. Geiss and the other Dr. he works with take it.

Try Dr. David Buchin in Lake Success.  He's out of LIJ.  He will be moving his office to Huntington in about 4-6 weeks....
