Thanks.
Thanks.
I am from Central NY...I plan to have wls w/Dr.Fitzer also.I already did the seminar and consultation with him, now just waiting for my insurance to kick in,July should be a Go with insurance. I am doing my 6 month supervised diet in between. I don't want the surgery until Fall anyhow so it looks as if it will workout well. I know a few people who have had Dr.Fitzer and love his work and are doing very well. Good luck and keep us posted. :)

Hi it's very nice to meet you on here! I hope your journey goes well and I will def. keep posting once more happens the 11th of this month is my last month of the 6 month supervised diet and on the 23rd I go for my psych and nutrition clearance:) I am getting really excited and nervous as well! This site is nice for support really helps alot! Good Luck with you as well and keep us posted on your progress too!! So are you from the Utica area where the Dr. is out of??
I live in Boonville , we moved here from Lowville(Watson) area due to my hubby's job. I am kinda scared but excited too. I have never had surgery before.I had an endoscopy last October..they gave me "twilight" anesthesia for that and I came out of that fine..as far as I know..lol.The doc says he can get the surgery done in 45 minutes.. I was glad but kinda scared too..he says the less time on the table the better. How do you like him? I sent you a friend request also..:)Nice to meet you too! :)

I live in Denmark about 10 minutes from Lowville near Castorland so we're not all that far from each other huh?? I have never had surgery before either besides a cyst removed from my underarm but I don't really consider that surgery lol...Not to sound stupid but what is "twilight" surgery?? Yeah the dr. said it's usually an hour or a little under if all goes well with the surgery!! I accepted your friends request:) To be honest at first I really didn't know what to think of him I thought he really wasn't caring or seemed so "rush" so to speak I guess I mean I am sure he has ALOT of patients on a daily basis and needs to be fast but......I do like that he is very thorough and honest with you as what you need to do and if your not doing it he tells you how it is and I like that...
My niece swears by him and I know several others who have had him as well and they all think he is the best. None of them have had complications either...the one lady does get sick alot but I am sure it is what she eats..she may dump and when you try things that have too much sugar in them that's what happens. I have read on here that only 30% of RNYers dump. Those who don't have to be very careful after the 18 mos honeymoon period(most weightloss occurrs) because Rnyers do absorb 100%carbs...anyhow I am doing the 6 mo. supervised diet required by my insurance.
I had "twilight" when I had an endoscopy done...all I remember is getting my iv then waiting for the person ahead of me to get done. Then they wheeled me in the room, doc sprayed some stuff in my throat, they asked me to turn on my left side..that's it,I was waking up in recovery.Whatever it was they gave me made me happy..lol I woke up smiling at the nurse and asking when I could leave. I felt good.:) It's weird because I wouldn't have ever known anything had been done to me , I had no sore throat, no after effects...just a little burping on the way home.
Good luck..and pm me anytime! :) Thanks for accepting my friends request!:)
