Does anyone know if either of these groups require you to be a patient of their bartiatric program in order to participate in the support? I'll be making some calls tomorrow to see what I can find out.

Well, I can answer for the Rockland group. It is open to anyone pre-, post-, hopeful - anyone. I actually learned about it from a post on here. Not sure about the Surgical Intensivists one....but DEFINITELY come visit us in Rockland next week =D I'll bug you about it closer to the date lol

So cool - thanks again - can't wait to start getting that group help that I've been missing for so many weeks.

My own group, up in Danbury, has been cancelled for 6 straight weeks. Total BS. I'm over it and moving on.

I go to the Rockland meeting also and we do occasionally have the group meet in Westchester at one of our members houses. We have members from both side of the bridge and try to make it easy for everybody.

I was knocked on my butt by bronchitis, so I wasn't able to attend...but I'm definitely looking forward to the next one!

I will hopefully be at the Rockland one on Thursday....only thing potentially holding me back is I'm either sick or having some bad allergies tonight. Very unusual for me.

So if this gets worse by tomorrow afternoon, I probably won't make it, to spare others from whatever this is.

When is the next one in Rockland, if this one doesn't work out for me?

Did you come to the White Plains group at the high school last week? I don't remember. Our next meeting is this Wednesday at 6pm. We have a special speaker coming.
