dr. hoffman is great. one thing about it is he wants his patients to do well. he is worth the wait. when u see him u always wait longer. i didnt get my first fill for about for 6 months but i was losing every week. they go by how much you can eat, how full you stay and your weight loss. i have had some problems with being too tight so im not so anxious for a fill but i wasnt hungry at all. as far as sagging skin i have it...sigh. i thought that by losing it slower i wouldnt have it. it all depends on heredity on whether you will have sagging skin. i know i will eventually need the dreaded plastic surgery
Idalia,
I am going to a weight loss seminar on 4/29, so I'm just in the beginning stages of my WLS journey.
I don't like to cook either, and that is one thing that is making me nervous about this, how am I going to do with the food. Right now, I rarely eat breakfast or lunch. I drink a lot of diet pop. my husband is the one who cooks dinner.
Good luck to you, I hope you continue to do well!

Thank you for your well wishes. I am doing ok. I am trying to stick to the easy dishes, I should've been progressing to solid foods tomorrow, but I found that I was hungry all the time so I have been having solids for a few days already, nothing too drastic though, and chewing the hell out of it. It seems to me that my stomach holds more than the 4 ounces they say it takes, I can eat probably about seven ounces before I feel full and not get hungry again for a few hours. Before I would just eat the four ounces, and less than 2 hours later I was very hungry again.
My husband was the one cooking too, but he has been in NYC working for the last few months and I have no cook now :(, so I just cook simple things like chicken breast fillets or fish fillets on the pan and some vegetable, a lot of egg salads, tuna salads, things like that. I am not very picky so if I find something simple that I like, I could eat it all the time with no problem.
I didn't use to eat breakfast, but my husband got me used to, so now I do eat breakfast, and it is the first thing the surgeon told me the first time he saw me, never ever skip breakfast. You will not be allowed carbonated beverages either, so start weaning yourself out of the diet pop.
I know it will get easier as the time goes by, I just don't like obsessing over food, thinking all the time what I need to eat or not eat, it is exhausting to me. So far I have lost 14 ponds since surgery, but about 42 since my first appointment at the clinic, back in December.
Well, I wish you luck also, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. The seminar should be interesting, you'll learn a lot, and from then on, hold on for the ride!!!
