I have no idea what it's called, but I know there is a procedure that does that. I myself am looking into a revision-but at this point I'd settle for having that done! I'll find out more when I have a consult with Dr. Hill on March 5th.

I see you are in Rome, not far from me at all. Do you go to any support groups? The only one I know of in this area is in Camden. I believe they are the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 7 pm at the Oneida Savings Bank. I haven't gone to any though myself. I am legally blind and can't see to drive at night.

Best wishes to you!

Me either but thought maybe it would help me I have gained like 75lbs back . Do you mean the Duedal switch or something to that affect ?

Ive been to one support group meeting in New Hartford and wasnt very impressed with the
meeting at all. And of course they are all at night and I dont like being out at night here. I moved here
from Texas a year and a half ago and thats when I started gaining and keep gaining, I litterally hate
myself for gaining, Dont know what to do the basics thing was easy when I first started. Now
cant seem to get motivated,  Why are you having a revision if you dont mind me asking ? nice to hear from you if you dont mind keep in touch .

I'm so glad you said that about Dr. Hill! I have a consult with him for a possible revision from RNY to DS in March. When I asked about him on the revision and DS boards-nobody had heard of him-even though I found him here on OH. lol I talked to a woman at his office and she told me he has done revisions from RNY to DS with much success-so that made me happy too. Thanks again for posting about him!

Yes--the DS is what I'm hoping to have done. The reason for it-is because I never get full. I can eat anything and everything like I never had surgery to begin with. I'm positive my stoma has stretched out-maybe my pouch too.

I know of the support group you went to in NH. I used to go to them years ago myself. It would be nice if there was one during the day close by.

Moving here from Tx must have been rough for you-it sounds like a lot of your gaining could be stress related. Have you tried going back to basics? I did that a few times-went back to the soft food stage and protein shakes. Of course it didn't help cause I was never full.

I will keep in touch-you do the same. Send me a friends request if you'd like.

From what I have heard it is not that sucessful.  You are better off having a revision to Duodinal Switch, if you qualify.  That is a highly sucessful operation and you will definitely lose the excess weight.  But make sure you find a highly skilled DS surgeon.  Go to the DS board for more info

The procedure you are looking at is called "ROSE"  Stomaphyx has proven unsuccessful and full of problems and is not being done anymore.

The Camden Support group meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday's every month (as long as the weather is decent)
