I got my surgery date!!!!!!
I'm having my surgery at Ellis Hospital with Dr. Panemanglore on MARCH 8th!!! Wooooooo HOOOO....
I'm down 12 lbs. in 2 weeks and start the Medifast tomorrow morning. I can do this. I have a date. And that date is going to get here before I know it, so I can stick with the plan.
But I have got to tell you I laughed so hard today that I thought I'd wet myself... They made me sign a promise that I will NOT get pregnant for 2 years after the surgery. Dang, I'll be 57 years old by then. I'm gonna be too old to be having babies by then!!! Okay, okay, I know that after the doc did that major grab & drag (also known as a hysterectomy) on me back in November 2006, that it became highly improbable that I'll get pregnant, but ya gotta hope. LOL...
I mean they tell us that we'll have all this new confidence and we'll feel sexy and all and that it is common to find someone new in our lives, so what the hey...

CONGRATS! i had dr p also. you're welcome to come to support group even before your surgery. next one is at mcclellan campus 2/11 at 7. let me know if you need any more info or have any questions/concerns! i'm not on here much but my email is [email protected]

Congratulations on your surgery date and your pre-surg weight loss!
I had Dr. Clarke do my surgery... everyone at Ellis Bariatric are very nice and knowledgeable. Dr. P did the orientation that I attended, also my hospital discharge.
Like Becca said... come to group at McClellan... Ellis at 600 McClellan.
Very nice support group.
Some tips for Medi-Fast that may help you...
In the evening I added a tiny bit of raspberry extract to my Choc shake. Also used peppermint and Almond & some other flavors.
That made it taste like dessert.. for the 5th shake of the day.
Also I added some crushed ice to make them thicker. That may be a little tough this time of year though.
