Are you asking about the hospital or the program? There really is no 'center' at the hosptial.  They have a section of one of the floors that they put the bariatric surgery patients on, but there are other surgical patients there. There is a Bariatric Surgery and Nutrition office at the Albany Med South Campus.

Let me know more of what you are trying to find out and I will do my best to answer. I had my surgery through the program there almost 10 months ago.

well, I already had surgery, but with unresolved complications.  I am now seeking out a new bariatric doc for a 2nd opinion.  i thought Albany Med. had bariatric services.....i.e., bariatric surgeons
THANKS

They do - four fantastic surgeons. The number is 518-262-0942. The address is 25 Hackett Boulevard, Albany. It is in the old Child's Hospital (if you are familiar with the area). I had Dr. Dunnican. I really liked him. They also have dieticians and nutritionists in the practice.

If you are interested, we have a weekly support group in the same buidling. We meet Thursday evenings, 5:30 to 7:30 pm. It does not matter if you had your surgery there or not. We talk about everything and it is facilitated by a 6+ years post-op.

If there is anything esle I can help you with, feel free to ask.
