Hello, I agree support is imperative to longterm sucess beyond our honeymoon (6 months for many)
I feel the AMC groups are quite beneficial ad geared toward helping everyone be educated, informedAND SUPPORTED ON HOW TO USE THEIR TOOLS AND THE REALITY THAT WLS IS NOT A QUICK FIX AS WELL AS LIFESTYLES NEEDED LONGTERM INCLUDING THE EMOTIONAL WORK NEEDED. i HAVE FACILITATED THESE IN THE PAST jANET fOLKMAN A 6+ YR POSTOP SUCCESSFUL AND sw RUNS THEM NOW, i HAVE GONE RECENTLY TO DO SOME SPECIAL PANEL DISCUSSIONS.

Check them out on facebook also!

Hi Kaitlin - I go to the Thursday evening group at Albany Med almost every week. This is a real great mix of people, from pre-ops to several year post-ops. The majority of the frequent attendees are RNY patients from Albany Med.

Hope to see you there. Oh - just to let you know there will not be a meeting on Jan 28.
