Anyone who has used Dr. Garber. Please share
Dr. Garber is the best. I can tell you from firsthand experience. HE is the most experienced surgeon in the area and one of the most experienced with revision surgery. Lots of people at support groups have said great things about the ROSE procedure. You should come to his next week. Let me know and me can meet there.
I've used Dr.Garber for both my surgeries. I was banded in 2006 and revised to RNY on 8/31/09. Does he have the greatest bedside manner, no. But I think he's a highly respected surgeon in his field and, yes, he is one of the best bariatric surgeons on Long Island. He's very serious, very professional and I have complete faith in him. The only negative is that he only sees patients on Thursdays and so his office is always busy and it's always a long wait.
Other than that, I can't complain. When I was in the hospital in August I shared a room with 2 people who had the ROSE procedure. They were very happy about it. I beleive Dr. Garber was the first surgeon on Long Island to perform the ROSE procedure. You can always go to his support groups and just listen and ask questions. They have them regularly. I used to go but not anymore. They are very informative.

You shouldn't write things about Garber you don't know first hand. I will be sure to let him know about what you are writing about him on OH. Dr. Garber is the most experienced and best skilled surgeon on Long island. Just because your insurance doesn't cover his excellent care you shouldn't say those things about him.
