Utica/Syracuse Area
Cindy, hi, just to let you know many of us from Eastern Ontario have had the privilege of having Dr. Graber/Dr. Fitzer from Utica...I personally had Dr. G....loved him and his bow tie!! The whole experience from his office staff to the hospital was awesome!! I am coming up this May to my 2yr surgiversary...and expect to make the trip once again!! You'll do great..just follow the rules that you've been given....good luck...Patti K.

well hello everone. I truly liked everything with Dr. Graber/Fitzer pre-op, but when I had complications, they didn't seem as friendly. I do understand that they were just as frusrtrated as I was. After initial surgery I had to stay 10 days. Home for 6 and back to hospital for 10 more due to extreme diarrhea. So, I came home yesterday again--hopefully for good. Not good stuff happens in the hospital !!!!
I am a little depressed now, but have hopes of getting better. Thanks for all the responses; forgive me for not replying til now.

I hear you about them not being friendly afterwards!! I mostly saw Dr. Grabers nurse instead of him on my post op appointments-I stopped going to him a few years ago. Yes-I signed the paper saying I would keep my appointments with HIM and follow ups with HIM-but never saw him-so quit going to him.
I'm near Camden by the way. I hope you are doing better now and don't have any more complications! Best wishes to you on your journey!

Cindy,
Sorry to hear you've had a rough time. Hopefully that is behind you now, and things will go more smoothly. Come to the next support meeting at St.Lukes Home, if you're up to it. A good group of people with lots of helpful suggestions, and plenty of shoulders to lean on.
Send me an email if you want to chat offline at any time...
