INFO FOR DR. GAGNER?
I was hoping someone had Dr. Gagner's info for the new hospital/practice he's in now in NY. He was with Weill Cornell, moved to Florida, then back to NY, from what I was told.
Thanks for your help, this is an urgent plea.

My Weight-Loss Roller Coaster Journey: 425#-Open RNY in 1998-----> 250#-Lowest post-RNY Weight in 2000-----> 325#-DS Revision-LAPROSCOPIC in 2004-----> 192#-Current Weight as of August 2009 for a grand total of **233** pounds lost!
Somebody told me he may be going to Mount Sinai in Manhatten. I keep investigating but not finding him there either. I e-mailed him in November to ask him some questions about revision and he told me to make an appointment to see himin New york but failed to mention where he was going. I e-mailed him since and had not heard back. I will give you his adress if you already don't have it, [email protected]. Good Luck, let me know if you hear anything, I'll do the same. He did my procedure in 2007 and I would trust no one else but him.

My friend and I, who both had surgery with Gagner, have been unable to find him either. We wrote to him, and he didn't answer. After a few months of that, we have both decided to switch to Dr. Pomp, who was a student of Gagner's and is at Weill-Cornell/NYP. He must be going through some major transition, because it seems that everyone has the same problem. I need a revision, however, and don't want to wait until he's taken patients again.
I emailed him a few days ago and he indicated early March for a practice opening. I used the [email protected] address. Of course it was supposed to be sept 09 and that never happened, so I am cautiously hopeful that this is the final word. I have completed all the pre op work up, 6 months of dieting and have insurance approval, I simply lack a qualified DS revision surgeon and am hoping for Dr. Gagner.
I met with Dr. Pomp a year ago and he would not do a revision to DS on me thinking I could lose the regained weight with diet and exercise based on my relatively lightweight status BMI 40.

I have no idea where he will be practicing and he didn't volunteer the information. Living at the Jersey Shore it would be very easy to see Greenbaum. The only reason I haven't is that I really need to have this procedure done laparosopically if at all possible. I need to be up and running asap as I own a business and have 2 small children and DH is constantly travelling. I also tend to form seromas with large incisions which then typically get infected due to repeated aspirations. Of course laparotomy is a known risk of any laparoscopic procedure. But I want the best chance of this approach with the least chance of complications. Having never had abdominal surgery aside from laparoscopic rny and my lightweight status make me an idea candidate to try a revision to DS laparoscopically. I know Dr. Inabnet at Sinai does them and is experienced. I just don't hear his name on the boards much and don't know much about his track record which makes me nervous. Anyone who knows more about Dr. Inabnet feel free to chime in.
