Emblem Health ???

Hi Everyone!

I am starting my weight loss journey and I was wondering if anyone has anything good to say about getting approved for Lap Band Surgery with Emblem Health.

I have EmblemHealth and they were wonderful to work with.  They have different types of products, mine was the EPO, and it was very easy to get approval.  I didn't have to do a 6 mth supervised diet and they approved me in 4 days after submission of my paperwork was received.  You can email them or call them with any questions you have.  I preferred email since then I would have the response in writing with the person's name, date and time that the msg was sent.

Thanks for your respone. I have the EPO as well. I also have eight months of a supervised diet and weigh in if they need it. My primary care physician was all for my decision when I asked him last week. Hopefully it will be a quick process and I can have the surgery very early in January.

If you don't mind me asking, which WLS did you have?

I had RNY on Tuesday, 11/24.  Good luck--I think you will find EmblemHealth easy to work with and quick to approve.
