Surgeon that accepts medicaid

I'm in need of a surgeon who accepts medicaid insurance in NY. I'm looking to have a revision done on a rny I had in 2006. Thanks!

I'd first find out if a revision is covered under medicaid. Many insurances have a lifetime clause of only 1 surgery..of course fight might come if medically necessary can be proven (not that wt gain is that or isnt but may need to be another reason) of course I do not KNOW your specific issues or conerns around revision need. Can you go to original surgeon for consult?

I used Dr Bessler at Columbia Presbyterian - he doesn't take medicaid but there is a surgeon at the hospital that does.  You can call the hospital and ask.  Call 212-305-4000
