Finally Approved

Finally found out today that I was approved to get surgery by my insurance on Oct. 26th.  They had not contacted my Dr. or me yet, so the person who handles all the insurance info at Arnot Bariatric, Debbie, called and got the answer.  Now I have to wait for the date.

On a further note, last Wednesday, my PCP finally diagnosed me with hypertension (High BP) and put me on a low dose of meds.  Have to have it rechecked after a week of being on the meds, so I will see if they are helping tomorrow when it is checked.

Nervous, but so excited to finally be heading towards the losers bench!  Can't wait to be able to run with my almost 3 year old and not be so winded and trying to catch my breath.  Will keep everyone updated as I find out the great news of my surgery date.

How exciting!!!  I'm waiting on my insurance approval right now - I'm gonna call O'Malley's office this morning to see where it's at in the process.  I do have a surgery date already, but can't quite relax about it until I get that insurance approval too!   Congratulations!!!! 

I also have dr. Omalley and I am also waiting for th approval from the insurance company.  I was given my date last thursday- my surgeryis planned for 12/9  which i was surprised was so soon.

Yeeeeehhhaaawwww!! Congrats girl you are on your way! I cant wait to see you on the losers bench with us!  Keep me posted when you get your date!  Im so proud of you and so proud for you!!  Lets do the happy dance together lol .

I am soo very happy for you!  Congrats!  Getting approved is the biggest relief in this entire process!!

Thanks everyone, just a quick update on my BP also, it was 152/102 on 10/28 and when I had it checked yesterday after a week of meds it dropped back to 108/80.  Normal again.  I think the relief of finding out I have been approved helped the situation as well.  Just have to wait for the scheduler to call with a date .  More stress, yay!

Congratulations!!! Be sure to keep on top of that scheduler! It's important that they work around your schedule too!!!!! Keep us posted!!!

Thanks all.  Hopefully those who are waiting like me will hear soon.  I think if I don't hear anything by Monday morning I am gonna give a call to see later in the afternoon.
