hi,

i recently just had my 4 yr birthday :-)

i've seen nutritionists/asked questions, but i'm wondering what some of you do in terms of how many calories you eat/day? how many protein grams/day?

i realize it does depend on the person, but i'm curious.

thanks!

Hi,

Sorry I can't help you on calories b/c I don't count them.  But I can tell you I eat between 80 -120 grams/protein/day (almost always over 100).  That's for a DSer, though.  For RNYers, I believe my surgeons recommend 50 - 80 grams/protein/day.

BTW, happy anniversary.

i AM STICKING TO 80-100 GMS OF PROTEIN A DAY. I DO NOT COUNT THE CALORIES EITHER BUT IT SEEMS MOST PEOPLE ARE AT 1200-1400 DAILY. I HAVE BEEN DOING A LOT OF LOOK UP ON MAINTENANCE RECENTLY.
CONGRATS ON YOUR 4 YEAR BDAY, HAVE YOU MAINTAINED? i AM APPROACHING MY ONE YEAR SURGIVERSARY IN 18 DAYS. I CANNOT WAIT AND I CANNOT BELIEVE IT WENT SO FAST

I am two years four months out.  I am maintaining!  I hover between 146-150 lbs.  I get three shakes in a day except on the weekends then it is a little harder.  The carb monster rears its ugly head every once in a while.  I don't miss the sugar or sweets.  Splenda is my friend.  Good luck to you!
