fingerlakes weightloss with dr carl weiss

Just interested in hearing from others who have gone to the fingerlakes weightloss center or have had dr weiss for a surgeon. I have gone thru all the testing and have one more support group meeting. I have 7 pounds to go before they send all the info off to the ins. co. would love to hear from anyone who's been on this path or who is going through the steps.

Hi Sassy!  I'm mostly on the DS forum, but scan through the NYS forum every now and then and just saw your post.

I'm in the Canandaigua area and am having the DS with Dr. O'Malley out of the Highland Hospital Bariatric Center in Rochester. I'm not familiar with the Fingerlakes Weightloss Center or support group.  Where do you all meet?  I might be interested in attending if it's not too far off!

Hi the fingerlakes weightloss program is out of Auburn NY. they meet every wednesday night 630 1st 2nd and 3rd wednesdays and every fri at 12p. How far along are u in your journey?

I'm on the home stretch!!!   Awaiting insurance approval (they aren't expecting any problems) and surgery's scheduled for December 15th!  He's only booked out to mid-November, but my parents are coming up from MD to take care of me post-surgery (mom's a RN, dad's coming for the company, plus they'll probably stay through Christmas) and that's what fit their schedule. I'm so excited!!! 

cool that's where i am too but they won't  schedule surgery until they have the approval in thier hands.

Hopefully that won't take long.  We may end up having surgery around the same time!
