He's partnered with Dr. Gadaleta. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH. Ask about fatalities.
Personally....I'd get a 2nd opinion.

hi, dr gellman did my gastric bypass 4 yrs ago. he did a wonderful job and was probably the most compassionate dr i've ever dealt/worked with. definitely ask questions about fatalities, success rate, and whatever else interests you. he will give you the scoop.

Dr. Gadalata who is with Dr.Gellman did my RNY back in 8/2002.   I lost about 100 lbs.  I was not please with his office or the support group he had.

When I moved out to Suffolk, all my doctors highly recommened Dr.Braithwaite, O saw him and loved him, his office and great support groups.   I started to have weight gain and dumping often. Dr. Braithwaite sent me ASAP for GI Series and it turned out my STOMA and pouch had widened so bad that food was going straight into my intestine.  I had Ins. approval within an hours and    Dr.Brathwaite did a full revision on 7/1/09 and so lost 60 lbs.  I love the aftercare I was given. His office provided a detail plan that included menu and step to step or I would say week to week of what I can eat and not eat.     I am so glad I found Dr.Brathwaite, I wish I would have had him do my 2002 surgery.
