Vestal Support group tonight

It was great seeing everyone tonight. You guys are the greatest. Those *****cently had surgery hang in there, you will be out of the liquid phase soon. Those who have surgery coming up this month I wish you the best. Have a great month and  we will see you all next month.

It was so great to see you all tonight!! Tina you look great, and Im so proud of you, and everyone who else who had the surgery you guys look great as well. Im happy we have new people coming and Im always excited when we get together! Our conversations are the best and it was nice to hear from everyone tonight. Sometimes a hour and half doesnt seem long enough LOL. I cant wait to see you guys next month!!  Another great time with friends cant beat it!!

Kelley you look fantastic!  It's been about 3 months since I saw you and WOW, you can really tell the difference!  Keep it up girl!

I stopped at WalMart last night to get some soups other than chicken noodle to put through the blender.  What a difference!!  I am going to try to use shakes as a last resort since I have plain powder to add to the soups.  I also found a cute shorts/skort on the clearance rack for $3 in a MUCH smaller size.  I may be "wishful thinking" as far as this size goes, but it's so darn cute I WANT to fit into it!  And if I don't, it was only $3.... It's a size smaller than what my "realistic" goal is, so maybe.... It's a size 10 and I'd like to get to at least a size 12....

we'll see what happens, right?

Tina, you look good yourself since you just had surgery 7 days ago!! Thats awesome you should be fitting into that skort by next summer. You know I never had a realistic goal of a size clothing I want to fit into. I guess being able to fit into a 16 would be good enough for me but hey why not shoot for the moon, the skys the limit right?  We are gonna do awesome along with everyone else we have each other how can we go wrong, right? LOL. I just love you guys!! Im so glad I took Dr. Coles advice and joined the group I dont know what Id do without some of you!!  Many hugs to all of you guys!!

I, too, would be more than happy with a 16, and that was actually my original goal.  I've never been below that in my life.  Went right from 12 huskys to an 18 it seemed... so thought the 16 was the smallest I could go.  After talking to others who've been obese all their lives and about the same starting weight I was, a 12 is definitely doable!  I can't even imagine...

But if I don't get there, a 16 will be great, too.  I got into a 16 about 5 years ago before my grandparents died, and on my frame it looked good....

Can't wait for next summer so we can go shopping!!

A Vestal support group!  Where were you guys back in 2003 when I had my RNY? *sigh*   Only group that was active was the one way back in Elmira/Horseheads where I had my surgery at the Arnot (I didn't use Dr. Tvetenstrand)

Glad to see there is an active group going on now! 

I'm looking into having some sort of revisional surgery. Not sure what kind.  But I need to take control of my life and finish losing the weight I never lost.

Hello Lynne and Im a Arnot patient. LOL. Sounds funny lol.  We are a diverse group of people that go to the Vestal Group but we wouldnt have it any other way.  We have basically become family and we love having new members join. The bigger the better. We have people who are at many different stages of their journey, people who just had the surgery and we also have a person who had it done a second time. You would be surprised what a wide spectrum of journeys and stories we share, all in all you couldnt ask for a better group of people to share things with and get ideas from. 

Come join us sometime. Like it was already said LOL its the third Wednesday of every month at the Vestal Library and we start at 6:30 and go until 8 but most of us sit around and gab more after that LOL.

Stay strong its the baby steps that get us places we never thought we could make it too!!

you should come join us!  I think I'm the only Dr. Tvetenstrand patient that goes (at least on a regular basis).  It is the satelite group for the Arnot program...
