I'm home!

I just got home a few hours ago!  My surgery was on Thursday. 

Everything went great.  Started oral pain meds Saturday, doc asked me if I felt I was ready to go home.  Told him I wasn't quite comfortable enough with it all yet, so he let me stay. 

Saturday night went very well, was even able to sleep on my side.  Very little pain.  Am very happy I opted to stay and get that much better for the transition to home.  My family is wonderful, but it was nice knowing the nurses were all right there.  Everyone at the hospital was so nice and encouraging. 

Glad to be home and starting to get a routine established.  Was able to finally have something other than jello or water (the broth at the hospital is TERRIBLE) so had 1 1/2 oz of chicken noodle broth with protein powder added.  Tasted much better than the boullion and so glad to have something other than the half ounce of jello I did manage at the hospital....

Also wanted to say thank you again to Sherri, Ted and Tressa for visiting me!  And thanks again for the beautiful flowers!  You have all become my "family" and I am so blessed to have you in my life!

Welcome Home.  It's a pleasure to know that you had an uneventful surgery.  I'm wishing you a speedy recovery and a wonderful start to your new beginning.

     So glad to hear all is going well. I sent you a text today to see how you were doing.  Group went well, we actually stayed later then normal (like 8:30 inside the office and 9:30-10:00 outside...as Mickey would say the LEFTOVERS...hehehehe). I feel like I am catching a cold and I have to speak at the seminar on Wed....ugh!  Well keep in touch, let me know how things are going!!! Sip, Sip, Sip, Walk walk, walk!!!

Were any of the new bandsters from group there?  There were several with 9/2 surgery dates I was wondering about how they did....

I know...usually it's 8 o'clock on the dot but not this past Thursday. It was a good group, must have been about 30 or so people there. None of the 9/2 bandsters were there so i am not sure how they are doing. Caroline asked how you were doing. She went to see Dr T on friday he ok'ed her for the RNY too.  She is so excited. I wanted to come and visit you but long and behold Im dealing with a stomach virus and a dilated gall bladder and my husbands aunt went into emergency surgery Friday because they found cancer and she was terribly sick herself. And we got back Saturday and I figured you were home by now. But IM SO HAPPY YOUR DOING GOOD and I cant wait to see the new you. Miss ya bunches woman!! Talk to you soon!!
