I know it sounds crazy. but what he does is freeze the butter bits- coat them with some batter then fries them up. It comes out like a hot buttered roll. Which doesn't sound horrible... but of course I could never eat it... I'd be sooo sick! ah well the price of getting healthy!
hope you had a good time at the State Fair. I can't believe I've never been there! Perhaps it was because my Mom had bad feet and so do I! lol
and the Adirondacks are wonderful! Lake George is nice but too commercial for my taste- do enjoy passing through for a brief visit once in a while.
A few years ago a friend twisted my arm into participating in the Adirondack Distance Festival. We both signed up for the HALF- Marathon, we knew we couldn't do the FULL MARATHON. I did it so she wouldn't be alone! I was only planning on doing about 3 miles but made it to 9 miles- before my feet gave out. ( I got a nice shirt out of the deal, too)
She finished the whole distance for the Half Marathon! I was very proud of her- the weather was perfect that day.
Sadly, though- a local man from Schroon Lake collapsed and died. That convinced me the next time I try something like that I'm going to be in much better shape.
