OT - Hospital for Special Surgeries in NYC

Hello New Yorkers!

I usually hang out on the PA board.  But, I need some NYC info.  Does anyone have any experiences with the Hospital for  Special Surgeries in NYC?  Hubby was referred to them for hip/knee replacements.

I understand the hospital is at the froefront for orthopedic work; I wanted to know more about the people side of the hospital.... how is the patient support/bedsie manner?  That sort of stuff.

Hi Jayne,

I went to HSS when I had some knee trouble. I found them to be very professional and expert in their work. I didn't need surgery and was not admitted so I can't speak to that side of the equation. If my outpatient experience was any idicator, I would feel very comfortable having a surgery and/or inpatient stay there.
