Glutton for Punishment?
Last year, I had the Ruen-Y...and they cut my inferior vena cava.
Two weeks after being released from the hospital, I went back in due to dehydration.
almost a year later, I had severe cellulitis and almost lost my leg.
Been treated for lymphedema...and now it is under control. I know it sounds crazy...but at the same time...I am hoping that I have something else wrong with me....atleast to the minor part to have a revision so I can loose more weight. I want to lose another 100. I know I am already needing skin removal...but first and formost....I need to lose more weight.
on the other hand...I thought of this....is there such thing as "fat harvesters" who would do lyposuction for free as long as they can take the fat/skin to give to others who are wanting to add to their body? How about skin donors? LOL....the things I come up with in my sleep....
I'm sorry if this offends but after only a year and a half, I think it's more than pouch failure. I am only four and half months and am realizing just how hard it is to stick to my plan and do what I am supposed to. It's easy to blame the tool (I tried, no go), but the operator of that tool needs to remember how to work it to their best advantage. I'd already forgotten how to operate my tool and have spent the last four weeks in a major stall. Not my pouch's fault, all mine. Wasn't using it the way it was meant to. Back on track now. Of course I have lost the momentum that I should have this early out, but I have to accept that and move on.
Good luck with your test. Deb

There is another support group in Albany too, I think that one is every other Monday. I'll post when I get the info.
Good luck.

Hey Tim... I know long time no hear.. I'm still here, mostly on the PS board because that is where my focus has been..... But enough about me....
I have to say, go back to the basics of what you ate shortly after your surgery.. Watch the # of times you're eating, protein first, veggies second and don't even put those carbs on your plate... And most importantly portion size and control.. Oh and don't forget your water.
Remembering that this surgery is only a TOOL it is not a FIX for our problems. We still have our head issues. Our heads can very very quickly turn us back into the devils that got us to where we were in the first place. Take it from someone who knows first hand just how quick our heads can work against us.
Good luck and here's someone hoping there's nothing wrong, you don't want to put yourself through all that again. Hugs,
