Arnold Bread
I had a half a peanut butter snadwhich yesterday on some new bread I found. Arnold Double Protein Bread. It has 7 grams of protein per slice! Add peanut butter to that, it was good - yet the bread still sat in my pouch like a rock. It's grainy, with a nutty flavor - went great with the peanut butter.
Anyone else ever try this bread? Maybe it's at least an acceptable carb to curb those carb (head hunger?) cravings?

Thanks for the tip! I am definitely going to be looking for it after I get out of work today.

LOVE that bread! I told my NUT about it, and she made me take a loaf to my pre-op group meeting!
It's sometimes hard to find. My local store was out of it for 3 weeks. There is a cool feature on their website though that shows you when and where it was delivered in your area. I stalked that site for a while until I saw it was delivered then stocked up.
It freezes well. Nobody else in my family likes the grainy breads, so I take half a loaf and put it in a zip lock gallon sized bag. A half loaf lasts me a week, and that's having a slice for breakfast and one for lunch. I'm still pre-op so can still handle the carbs. Like you said the added protein helps level it out.
