SHARE YOUR WOW MOMENT

My WOW moment is simple. It does not really involve my weight loss or anything like that. I used to be a size 26/28. Now I am down to a size 18 and discovered totally by accident that I can pull off my size 18s without unbuttoning them. You see, I used to wear only elastic waist pants (more room). Now I wear only the ones with buttons and zippers, but I forget that. It is such a great feeling to know that my body is changing that much and so fast. I am only 3 and half months post-op.

All my photos are the same resolution that is in my profile. I have no idea if they are high resolution or not. How can I tell? I'm not that computer savvy.

I still have a hard time remembering to unbutton/unzip pants because all I ever wore were elastic wasted.

I had a major 'wow' moment today. I had to have blood drawn and this is usually something really painful for me because they have always had to use my hands and still always had trouble. Today - the tech was able to use the regular spot where the elbow bends and had NO trouble at all. I didn't even get a bruise! This is so major for me. I've always wanted to be a frequent blood donor but about three years ago the Red Cross said I couldn't come back because they couldn't get my veins anymore. I cried, I was so upset. Now, I think I can actually donate again. I can't wait.

Hope everyone has a 'wow' moment -- no matter how big or small, as long as it makes YOU say "WOW" its your moment, enjoy it.

I just had to share this - I was hanging up laundry and ran into the pair of pre-weight loss pants I hung onto. I thought what the heck, I'm going to put them on. OMG! I looked like a clown, they are so huge. Then I thought, can I fit into one leg? I did! It was amazing! I'm going to take them to support group tomorrow and have someone get my picture. As soon as I can, I'll get it posted. This is so cool!

I am 4 months post op, and have lost 48 lbs.

Recently I had to buy some summer tops while in Florida on vacation... t-shirts were just too hot and too big.  So I checked out those cute "double" tops where you wear one on top of the other with the thin straps.  Anyway, I actually was able to go to the "regular" section and get sixe 16/18 -- woo hoo!  The first time in about 25 years that I did not have to go to the plus size department.  That was a WOW moment for sure.

I was banded April 20, 2009.

258.5/194.5/159

April 8, 2009  = 258.5

April 20, 2009 = 244 lb.s (lost 14 lbs./surgery date)

First Fill May 19, 2009 (3cc's)

June 8, 2009 = 226.5 lbs. (lost 32 lbs.)

October 5, 2009 = 201 lbs (lost 57.5 lbs.)

Nov. 27, 2009 = 198 lbs. (lost 60.5 lbs.)

May 23, 2010 = 194.5 (65 lbs. lost)
