For Alb Med patients..after 10% loss after surgery date sched
After completing your 10% weightloss and recieved your date... has anyone ever gained weight and for that had the surgery postponed? I am so worried about gaining a few lbs and having them cancel/reschedule the surgery date..... Anyone heard of this?

Hi - they don't weigh you on day of surgery but definately don't show up for pre-op day having gained much. I got weighed several times that day. Was so scared to even eat lunch!

Not sure. I had appointments for ultrasounds of my legs and gallbladder - got weighed at both, don't know why, actual weight does not have anything to do with how the tests are done. Then I had my actual hospital pre-op, they weighed me there too. Then I had pre-op with my surgeon - the only place that I really expected to get weighed and that was the last appoinment of my day. It stayed the same all day and I was a little less than the day we set the date. But then again it was only three weeks from getting the date to the surgery.

I'm pretty sure that the last weigh in that matters is the pre-op with your surgeon. They don't weigh you the day of your surgery. I would try really hard not to gain any weight since your last weigh in, because he might give you a hard time. When I went to my pre-op with Dr. Dunnican, he was happy that I had lost more weight, because he told me he canceled 2 surgeries before me because they didn't have all their weight off. You can do it, just keep positive! Good Luck!
I asked.. they said it was just procedure.. I dont belive they do any sharing..
yeah, the main one would be your Dr's
FYI.. anytime I have an appt with them I go at 8am to weigh in.. before Ive had anything to eat.. even if my appt with them is in the afternoon.. then again I live walking distance from their office
