Anyone have Dr. Cerebona?

Hi everyone,
Has anyone used Dr. Cerebona at Westchester County Medical Center?   I just went to his siminar yesterday and I really liked him - would love to hear from any of his patients.  Thanks!

I had surgery with Dr. Kaul I attend all the Support Groups.
All the surgeons there are great and the entire staff is great too.

Hi Marie - Thanks so much for responding to my post.  I have my first consult appointment with Dr. Cerabona on July 2nd - so we'll see how it goes!  I'm interested in the VSG - so the big issue for me will be whether insurance will cover it.  Do you know anyone from the support group that has had VSG?  Thanks again. -gina

I have a question? Does anyone know how long it takes for insurance approval. I am scheduled for surgery on July 20 and I an still waiting for my insurance approval. I have Affinity Health Plan and did not know if the take a long time

sorry, I don't know - my insurance doesn't cover VSG.  Good luck with your surgery!

Do you have to be a patient to attend the support groups?  I am looking for a support group but didn't have my surgery there.  Actually they wouldn't operate on me because of previous abdominal surgery.  I had my surgery in NYC and it is too difficult for me to get into NYC at night for the support groups.  I live in Rockland County and you have to be a patient of theirs to attend their support groups, so I am kind of left out of the loup.

Hi...I had Dr. C... He is Super.. So his Dr. Kauhl and Dr. Maffai (sp??).. I love them all. The staff is great.. They do tend to get very busy at times... but you will be in good hands... I had my surgery 5 years ago...with Dr.C...and I have meet with all of them... I had a good experince in the hospital.... I got to have some great nurses.. and a great... fellow at the time... so I had no complaints...If you like you can contact me anytime.
