Hi Everyone,

I've been training a group for a walk/run with the Weigh****cher Momentum Walk It Challenge that took place yesterday. Now that my commitment to the original program is over I am continuing the program and I can open it to more people.

The group is open to people of all levels. We have both walkers and walk/runners in the group. The next event we are training for takes place on August 2nd. It is the Sgt. Keith A. Ferguson 5k Run Across the Brooklyn Bridge. http://www.active.com/page/Event_Details.htm?event_id=1692707&amp.

We will meet Thursday evening at 6:30pm and Saturday mornings at 8:00am. If you are interested in joining us send me your email address and I will send you the training plan and meeting information.

Hi Mary,

WOW, what an awesome opportunity!  Please post it on LIPO's virtual forum as well.  I am so tempted, but not sure if I can handle it.  I have gained more weight than I care to admit since the 5K that I ran in March of 2008.  I have since walked in a few, but rarely even get to the gym these days.  I would like to try.  I have to find out how far Eisenhower park is from me first.

Maryellen,

I would love it if you could join us. I would guess you are about 40 min from Eisenhower.

I wouldn't worry about weight gain or fitness level. The program is very adaptable to all levels.

I will post this on the LIPO forum also.

HI Mary....
Thanks for opening this up...I am going to send you a message with my email info.  I have to work out some babysitting issues but am going to give it a try.

I walked a 5k with Maryellen in April for the 1st time and have since walked 2 more.  Not something I would have even given a 2nd thought to a year ago.

I don't get to the gym as often as I like but have tried to be more active in general.  I have committed to running a 5k on Thanksgiving with my sister, I have never run before so I need to get going with training or I won't make it.
Thanks,
Noelle
