New here!
I had an appt scheduled next week for my 1st nurse visit, but it got cancelled and rescheduled to the 2nd week in July because of one of the nurses having to go on a medical leave.
My husband is supportive, and is also looking into WLS but he needs to find someone that takes Medicare - so he has applied to the Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown.
Looking forward to talking/reading/responding. And also looking forward to meeting some of you in person at the meetings possibly.

"The road to health will have speed bumps, pot holes, stop signs and asshole drivers that cut you off... but with WLS, never doubt that you will get there."

Hello Sarah and Welcome!! I am reading this a bit late (6/23) but wanted to wish you good luck - the surgery will change your life(for the better!) No, at times it is not easy but it is do able- you must work with it! Its a great tool for those of us who have lost all hopes of ever getting healthy and letting go of all that weight!
You will feel better and be able to enjoy your kids and keep up with them so think of that and hopefully it will motivate you! Best of luck to your husband, too. I have heard good things about Bassett so I hope things work out for him, too.
Hang in there and if you have any questions along the way, this site is great and very helpful. Take care. Mary
