Congratulations! That's the best reason I know for gaining weight. Good luck to you.

Interesting. I have been thinking about this for a while. Eating for two...will be equivilent of eating for one since eating for one has been cut in half. BUT...let's imagine that Jamie is having twins! YES....TWINS. THAT would mean that she needs to be eating for three. Now, if eating for three...that would by the above stated equation....eating for one and a half...I think it would be alot easier if she would just have triplets. I mean, How in the world can you eat for one and a half? It doesn't make sense. So, yes...lets all hope that she has triplets :D

Congrats Jamie and Mr. um....Jamie. Hmm....or would Jamie be mrs. Regardless....that is another mathamatical equation for another day.

Perhaps I can ally any mathmatical concerns.....

I am having one baby (confirmed with 2 ultrasounds so far)..........

Prior to pregnancy I could eat for one or more if I truly tried, the pouch stretches ya know! I just now eat for one normal weighted person.....

Pregnancy merely requires about 300 cal more a day and wt gain should be about 1/2 pound a week and I am on target with that!!!!

Thanks for the humor and congrats Gene and I (hubby that is and I) are overjoyed!

Sorry no twins, no triplets........someone up above knew one was plenty this time around!

Congratulations to you both!

First time parents so exciting!
Makes me think of how excited my folks must have been after 10yrs of marriage and no pregnancis to finally have my brother when they were 36! -- I arrived 18 months later... (the better part of the deal! lol)

back in the 50's having babies at 36 was considered dangerous!
thankfully-today it is  not unusual at all-

I am very happy for you!
