I have 10 more days til my surgery!!! I just wanted to let everyone know I lost 3 more pounds and now I am 322...and I have 3 more pounds to lose before surgery. However, I am certain I got those 3 pounds in the bag since for the last few days Aunt flo has been in town and well we all know how we gain tha****er weight with that....so I am praying that I keep the pounds off and I am soo nervous and excited at the same time!!! I am walking everyday over at this park by my house that has a track to walk around and I have been walking about 4 times and I am going to work my way up to 12 times eventually. I think I have been getting to excited and worried about losing the ten pounds needed before surgery that I am walking way to much because my body is feeling it now..my ankles hurt and my feet especially on the sides...IDK...Guess I have to get used to that until the feeling goes away. Oohh and how do I relax my husband for that day of the surgery?? and How long is the surgery suppose to be?

You're doing awesome Denise!  I'm proud of you for getting out walking!  I know the park you're using, used to hang out there as a kid!

If you ever need a walking partner, I'm up for that!  Blue Ridge also has an awesome weight/fitness center with treadmills, elipticals, bikes and weights if you ever want to come up!  It's free to use it, you just have to be checked out on the machines (and I can do that for you since I've already been checked out...) you also just have to sign a waiver that you won't sue the district if you pull a muscle LOL!

Anyway, let me know if you want an exercise partner!

Good luck with the surgery!  I know you'll do great!  No advice on relaxing the hubby except maybe having him go to one of the support meetings?

My surgery took 2 hours and 5 minutes. My husband was pretty relaxed but I had 4 prior surgeries (2 c-sections, hysterectomy, and emergency cyst removal). The last few days before surgery are so nerve racking but the outcome of surgery will be soooooooo rewarding you will thank GOD daily that you made the decision to have it done.

After you weight you will have to get use to your feet and ankles NOT hurting no more. I still cant believe I dont have to get cortisone shots in my feet anymore! I use to come home after working all day and cry cause my hurt so bad. I had to get shots in the bottom of my feet to stop the pain. I would let the pain get really bad before I would go get the shots cause they hurt like HE double L!

Good luck with your surgery. It wont be long and you will be on the losers bench with me. I will save you a seat. It's the best bench to be on!!
