Dr Fitzer / Dr Graber

I received a letter from MVP last week that Dr Fitzer and Dr Graber would no longer be participating providers for MVP as of July 1, 2009, not sure what I am going to do, there are a few bariatric Docs in this area, I know that most Docs don't like to take on other Doc's surgical post ops for follow ups, I talked to my PCP and asked him if he could just follow me, with a list of the blood work that Dr Fitzer orders, my PCP said that would be okay with him. When I talked to MVP about the changes they said it was not them that dropped Dr Fitzer / Graber's practice. So must be the Doctors are dropping MVP, I guess by the sounds of things.

Have you called the Upstate Medical office?  They may take you on as well for follow up.

I'm pre-op with Dr. Tvetenstrand in Johnson City, and at my very first class the psycholgist asked the group if anyone had MVP.  Nobody did, and she said that was a great thing since they were very difficult to work with and they'd have to jump through lots of hoops.

I had Mvp and on a good note I was approved less then 4 hrs

ah Rina did ya call the office? My insurance changed from MVP but they will still take me due to fact Im a patient already...they may grandfather you in ps they dont take my insurace but will take due to Im already a patient

Ps FYI alot of specialist in my area dropping MVP due to they dont pay enough for services vs other insurance companies
