Fear is a bad thing - 5 days to go
So, I'm in the midst if having a mini meltdown... I am on day 3 of my liquid diet. Luckily I am not hungry physically, but I am fighting the head hunger....and that is upping my anxiety.
It is hard to believe that my Lap Band surgery is in 5, yes 5 days. OMG! While I know this is the right thing to do, today the fear is kicking in and I think it is more the fear of what life will be like after, as opposed to the actual surgery.....atleast today. LOL
I think I just wanted to come on here and vent as I know you have all gone through the same thing.
I keep thinking "you can still back out....."
The next few days are not going to be fun......

Hey Jen,
I know you have been thinking about this for a long time, so I am sure the anxiety has built up, especially as the time dwindles and as the liquid diet progresses--I was pretty *****y during this time! LOL
I can offer you my love and support!!! But, I can't tell you what is right for you. I know what was right for me. But, you should take this time to decide what you really want from life and from this surgery. I know it seems scary when you don't know what life will be like afterward, but you do have lots of great rolemodels on here and in "real life" who have gone through the surgeries and who have made vast changes in their lives and who still are fine--who are actually much better off than they were!
I'm not saying that this will be easy--it's not! But, it IS soooo rewarding! I really hope you will make whatever decision is best for you...and if that means going through with the surgery, then I for one will be there to support you!
And, if you want to ask me any questions about life after surgery, feel free to ask! I'm sure by now you know that I am an open book! And, Rachel is here for you, too!
::big hugs:: Take a deep breath and try to remember that the scariest time is BEFORE the surgery--AFTER will be much better! ::smooch::
Hugs, Heather
