ok so my friend Michelle (who's like 135-140 lbs) and I were standing talking to this guy, Matt, we just met at a ball game. Matt was a super star a few years ago in school sports. He had been in a terrible accident and is lucky to be alive. Matt keeps score for the baseball team that we played against. I keep score for our team. Anyways we started talking about his accident and how it's a blessing that he is still here with us. Matt got telling us some stories about when he was in the coma and his healing progress after the coma. Then he says " my physical therapists who were maybe your sizes, 150 pounds soaking wet" all the rest of what he said sounded like blah blah blah... I felt bad but had to have him repeat himself as I really wanted to know what happen. Anyways the whole rest of his story I am sure I had a smile beaming at him!!!  After we were done talking Michelle and I hopped in her car and I said "that kid just made my day, week, month and year all in that one sentence!"  To think last Aug I weighed in at 276 and now I am down to 187!  At 276 I didnt look as heavy as I was (several, several people are shocked when I tell them what my weight was) and today I know from being told I dont look like I weigh in the 180's I look like 150-160. I am soooo in love with my RNY!!

That is such a great story -- thanks for posting that brag moment.

I was feeling a bit frustrated myself today because we walked all over NYC yesterday (like 8 hours!) up and down many subway steps, and eating my three small 1-cup meals all on program -- staying hydrated -- and when I got on the scale this morning -- not one ounce lost.  Grrrrr.  But then my husband said how skinny I was looking yesterday :-) and today... so it put it all into perspective.  My job is not to worry about the scale, but just do what I need to do!  The scale will move eventually.  And people ARE noticeing.

I was banded April 20, 2009.

258.5/194.5/159

April 8, 2009  = 258.5

April 20, 2009 = 244 lb.s (lost 14 lbs./surgery date)

First Fill May 19, 2009 (3cc's)

June 8, 2009 = 226.5 lbs. (lost 32 lbs.)

October 5, 2009 = 201 lbs (lost 57.5 lbs.)

Nov. 27, 2009 = 198 lbs. (lost 60.5 lbs.)

May 23, 2010 = 194.5 (65 lbs. lost)
