So, what is your biggest downfall?

So, based on my last post.....

What is your biggest downfall/challenge?

Mine is the gym. I can do the eating plan. I can drink my water. I can take 37 vitamins a day(well, not quite). But, I just HATE going to the gym! LOL I feel great afterward, but I have to push myself to go. So, it's a constant challenge.

I guess we all have one...so...what is yours? =)

Thanks in advance for sharing...

Have a great Tuesday!

Hugs, Heather

Have you tried other types of workouts? I hate the gym, but I started taking zumba classes and love them.

 Hiya Heather,

I agree that exercise is VERY important....maybe the gym is not the way to go for you?  Try water aerobics, a step class, riding your bike, rollerblading, a dance class, jump rope or something that seems like "more fun" and then you won't think of it as a chore but something more enjoyable.  Good luck and don't forget to share what new exercise you find with us.

Thanks for the input...I guess I will have to try something else. I do like how I feel after the gym..I enjoy knowing I did something good, but never really love the idea of going. Maybe I should try zumba...just don't know if I can keep up with it...I still have that "I can't do it" mentality. I need to work on that... =)

Thanks again, ladies!

I hate the gym too, if people say they love it they're lying! Even my personal trainer doesn't like to stay there too long! I thought I was doing really great at the gym until I started working out with my trainer. Its really amazing how much better a workout in less time you get by doing that. Perhaps you might try that? I work out 1/2 hour with him and am out the door having had a full body weights workout.

Thats a great idea, thank you! I go to Planet Fitness...they offer a free startup class with the trainer, but not sure if you can see a trainer on a regular basis. I will check it out tomorrow though. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hugs, Heather =)

Well I am a really big girl and I keep up with Zumba ok. There is actually a girl even bigger than me in the class. You do what you can. The first class is free so it is worth a shot.

First class is free?  at which location?

I went with some of my support group members to the Sayville location and got them to charge us 1/2 price...$5.00, I did ask for a free class, but the instructor (BobbiAnn) said the best she could do would be 1/2 off.  Maybe when you actually sign up long term the first class is free?

Anyway, it was a great class, and I do recommend it to everyone to try, despite the rates.

I guess it is up to the instructors discretion. I have been to two seperate classes where the first class was free. The first was at the Dance Factory in college point, and the other was at the knights of coloumbus in college point.

Good morning,

Yes, you are probably right that it is up to each instructor.  It was a ton of fun and hope that Heather and or anybody reading this tries it.  The great part is that you don't have to keep up with the class, you can go at your own pace.  Also, if using your arms while moving your feet is too much for you, then just use your feet.

I will more than likely go back when my schedule permits.  Right now, its early am exericse that works for me bc of my work, school and personal life schedules.  Saturday, I am walking the Bariatric Dream Walk in Long Beach.  Who will be joining me?
