Can anyone on Long Island recommend a good therapist?

I live in Patchogue.

I saw a therapist I really liked pre-op, who is affiliated with my doctor but she doesn't take my insurance. (BC/BS)

I've only lived here for about 3 years so any recommendations would be appreciated. I'm not even sure how to go about finding someone I feel comfortable with.

What Kind of therapist are you looking for? I know a lot of therapists but not many who take insurance. I do know a few who have forms that you can send to BCBS for reinbursment and I know ones who work on a sliding scale so your payment maybe be just a little more than your copay. Let me know what you are looking for and ill send you a few names.

Maybe someone with a specialty in eating disorders and/or weight loss. I'd prefer a woman I think.

My out-of-network benefits cover 70% of the visit but I have to meet a $2,000 deductable first. I want to try and stay in-network if possible. Give me the names you have and I'll research the insurance side.
