Hi all! I've been a part of the post-op pregnant messageboard for 2 years and I figured since I'm about done with babies it was time to migrate a little closer to home and chat with people from New York. I'm in the Buffalo, NY area. I've been post op for almost 5 years and since have had a baby and one more on the way Jan 6th. Hope to have many more convos with you guys!

Hey!
Congratulations!!!  Do you know if you are having a boy or girl?  Jan. 6th is right around my b-day also.  Are you getting excited!  I know when I had my kids it was such a great time being pregnant and all (including the sickness and tenderness - loved it all!!).  I live in the Hamlin area of NY and am only 6 months out (from having surgery).  It has been a real "trip" but nothing compared to yours!

Take care and let us all know when and "who" you have!

Hi Jessy! My name is Mary, I am also in Buffalo (or really near Buffalo) and I am having my bypass on Tuesday! I am nervous and excited and hopeful and totally ready!!!
Congratulations on all of your success, I love hearing from people who have been "out" for over a year and who are doing well. I can't wait to hear more from you and get to know all about you and your babes!! Take care!

You are amazing!
Mary

Congrats on everything.  Im in North Buffalo.  I had the surgery on June 5 2003 with Dr Caruana.  Lost 180lbs, put back on about 30....Still doin good.  Im still at 270lbs...wondering if there is a revision or what more I can do.....

Hi there!

I'm also in North Buffalo and have my first consultation with Dr. Caruana on Thursday.

From what I've read on here...if you're struggling after surgery or have found that you have regained weight....these are some suggestions I remember seeing.

Start a journal - write down EVERYTHING you eat, drink, physical activity for at least a few days.

Do the 5 day pouch test - google it.

Go back to the post-op diet - liquids, pureed, etc. and maybe that will jumpstart something for you.

Again, I have yet to experience all that you have from wls but I hope this helps and that you get back on track!
