OK I am about to be 4 weeks out so I am at the point I can add more foods like meats and peanut butter. I am just wondering what to eat the peanut butter with. I know that carbs are to be avoided but I don't know how else to eat it. Please provide any ideas you have. Thanks

I just ate it with a spoon- but I gotta tell you- it didn't work for me-maybe next week I'll try again. Also I tried at 1 1/2 weeks out!
It is not only important to love- it is important to say so.

by itself on banana on a wheat tortilla? on a piece of cheese on a slice of apple (with skin removed)... if you can have skinless apple, that is. put a few spoons of peanut butter in your blender, then vanilla (or chocolate) protein powder and milk (or water if you can't handle milk) for a thicker shake, a little higher protein (due to the PB) and if you use the choc protein powder, it'll taste a bit like a reese's

Hi Tara.  Since we're not allowed carbs or fruit at this point I had the same dilemma. At one of the support group meetings someone mentioned that she would put some in a bowl of chocolate pudding and it would be like a peanut butter cup.  I tried that the other night.  Tasted great, put the pouch was not impressed.  Peanut butter is one of my favorite foods. I'm hoping that I don't have this problem all of the time. I've heard some people mix it with protein shakes.   I think I copied the following recipe from one of Jamie's posts: Peanut Butter-Chocolate Ricotta Crème Two servings. 1 cup low fat or part-skim ricotta cheese 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 or 3 packets Splenda 1/2 to 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter 1/2 to 1 tablespoon baking cocoa (or 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar-free chocolate syrup) Mix as desired, put in 2 serving dishes, chill, and serve. If using chocolate syrup, you can pour on top instead of mixing in, if desired. I'd forgotten about this and think I may try this today. Dominique

I vote for right off the spoon!! Be careful with it though at first - it is very dense & can sit like a rock if you eat it too fast!!! Good stuff!! Cece
